It was a pleasure to spend the weekend at the 2020 Darkwater Women In Music at UNC Pembroke to listen ‎to some great music and meet excellent musicians and scholars. I have been selected as the third prize ‎winner of the composition competition. I would like to thank my wonderful performers Jillian Storey Storey, ‎flute, and Andrea Tiffany, clarinet, for learning my work Perceptions so accurately and performing it so ‎beautifully. I would also like to thank Sarah Busman, Professor of Flute at UNCP and Founder of the ‎Darkwater Women in Music Festival, for the opportunity and the organization of this wonderful ‎festival. ‎
