I am very excited that my work Gift, for Soprano and Piano, will be featured at RISE Concert by Anne Harley (soprano) and Gayle Blankenburg (piano) on May 8! This concert will showcase recently composed works of vocal chamber music in Farsi and English by rising female composers and poets from the Iranian diaspora. I can't wait to listen to my work and works by my fellow Iranian composers Aida Shirazi, Niloufar Nourbakhsh, Parisa Sabet, Bahar Taheri, as well as a recitation to Shirazi's music, by female poet and playwright Sholeh Wolpé!
