It was amazing to attend the third annual Music by Women Festival at Mississippi University for Women! The festival directed by Dr. Julia Mortyakova featured numerous concerts and lectures all in celebration of the contributions of women composers, past and present! I had the honor to meet incredible performers and composers including Dr. Elizabeth Sullivan who performed my work for solo oboe “Disputations” last year at the second annual Music by Women Festival.
Looking forward to the performance of my work “Infinite” by the Figmentum Ensemble as part of Music by Women Festival at Mississippi University for Women on March 8, International Women’s Day!
I am thrilled to announce that I have been selected as one of the finalists of the fifth annual String Quartet Smackdown by Golden Hornet! A panel of judges selected the sixteen finalist compositions to be performed live at Alamo Drafthouse South Lamar in Austin, TX, on February 23, 2019, at 7 PM by Invoke String Quartet. The live audience in attendance will determine the winner by voting for their favorite pieces in each round. The winner of each round moves on in the tournament... and the champion will receive a grand prize of $1,500!

Thrilled for being among the finalists and part of that amazing event! Very excited for the world premiere of my work "Infinite" commissioned by Figmentum Ensemble in its second concert of the season Rock, Paper, Toy Pianos on February 15 at 7:30 PM in San Diego, California.
You are invited to the Composers forum first concert of the semester titled “Music for Strings” featuring Judy Constantinides (reader), Loraine Sims (soprano), Dinos Constantinides (conductor), and Louisiana Sinfonietta String Quartet this Sunday, Feb. 10, at 2 PM at LSU School of Music Recital Hall. Music by Schumann, Berlioz, Franklin, Jones, Knox, and Iravani as well as musical story Camel Got His Hump by Constantinides will be performed. The concert is free admission and open to the public.

I would like to invite you all to the presentation of my electroacoustic work, Seven, at the annual concert of massively-multichannel sound diffusion, Cinema for the Ears, which will be held on Monday, Oct. 1, 2018 at 7:30 pm in the 92-speaker Digital Media Center Theater. I am very excited to see that my work is back home, where it was composed and premiered in Spring 2017, after an adventurous tour of conferences and festivals all around the US including the SEAMUS 2018 National Conference at the University of Oregon and the Cube Festival at the Virginia Tech University.

It was a great concert by the brilliant guest pianist Nathan Carterette on September 6, 2018, at LSU School of Music! First part featured the performance of my work for solo piano, The Midnight, along with fantastic works by my LSU colleagues Liz Knox and Austin Franklin and Theme and Variations for Piano, LRC 001, by Prof. Dinos Constantinides! Second part featured all Goldberg variations by J. S. Bach, all from memory! Amazing!

Sounds in Space will feature massively multichannel music compositions from seven artists from Russia, Iran, Canada, and the United States who will utilize the Cube’s 149 speakers. The composed pieces will bring each artist’s perspective through visual and auditory experiences. Guests will experience these works in the world-leading immersive audio environment known as the Cube. The participants of Sounds in Space are Dmitri Mazurov, Christopher Coleman, Niloufar Iravani, David Ledoux, Elizabeth Hoffman, Eric Stewart, and Jacob Elkin. Excited to be involved in this very nice educational program for children by the Louisiana Sinfonietta at the Baton Rouge libraries, June 25-27! This year's concert series, conducted by Liz Knox, featured Prof. Constantinides's latest musical story "Fair is Fair", my string quartet "The Maze", and many great music by past and present composers! Special thanks to Liz Knox for learning and conducting my work and to my dear teacher and supervisor, Prof. Dinos Constantinides for giving me the opportunity to be part of this fantastic program!

My work for clarinet quartet, The Maze, premiered at the Louisiana Sinfonietta concert titled as “Grand Finale” on April 16, 2018, at 7:30 pm at School of Music Recital Hall and repeated on April 17, 2018, at 7:30 pm at Southeastern Louisiana University by Victor Drescher and his studio.

I am thrilled to announce that I have been selected in American Composers Orchsetra (ACO) 2018 EarShot Readings, the culmination of a series of private readings, feedback sessions, and work with mentor composers! I have been selected as one of the three composers to participate in EarShot Readings at the Charlotte Symphony to have the reading of my work for Orchestra, Fantasy, by amazing conductor Christopher James Lees. I believe that this experience was a milestone in my career as a composer!

I was so honored to be part of University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Contemporary Music Festival as the presenter and composer. It was so productive to have my presentation titled as "The Fusion of Tradition and Technology" and the performance of my work "Seven, for fixed media" in two consecutive days.
Very looking forward to visiting University of Tennessee School of Music again! So happy to have another performance of my work for solo piano, The Midnight, by the virtuoso pianist, Maria Asteriadou, on Saturday, Sept. 16, at LSU School of Music Recital Hall!
